Christopher Wier, born and raised in Stigler Oklahoma. Chris is a musician, an advocate, a community leader, and a qualified candidate.
  • Rural Education - We must guarantee our students rights to education. We are losing teachers and infrastructure left and right. We have lost major institutional knowledge just over the last four years.
  • Rural healthcare - Cherokee County has a great healthcare system, but that isn’t the case for all Oklahomans. We must make healthcare affordable and accessible by any means necessary.
  • Rural infrastructure - Our roads, our schools, and our communities are at risk of being lost to time. Protecting our jobs, our workforce, and providing livable wages will guarantee our infrastructure a safe and prosperous lifetime.
Rural education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
A listening ear. Someone wise once told me that the best person listens 70% of the time, and speaks for 30%. Leaders should try to listen before they speak.

A willingness to learn. We must continue to grow and adapt to the needs of our communities and constituents.
Building relationships with constituents and community stakeholders, providing resources for community members, being in the community, learning every day, writing legislation, and speaking to fellow representatives.
I worked as a dock hand at a Marina. I worked there the summer before college. I thoroughly enjoyed working on the lake for a summer!
One in which our state prospers first. No other situation is good for all Oklahomans.
Building a coalition of dedicated community leaders. Oklahoma is in the depths of pitfall, and if we don’t find good leadership soon we may hit rock bottom.
Yes. Representatives around me will have more experience bill writing, more experience with Rules of Order, and more experience debating.
Ed Cannaday, former representative for House District 15. I remember growing up and his name was a household name. Everyone knew him and appreciated his efforts.
We shall see! I want to work for my community, and however they see fit that I do that I will.
I have heard lots of stories. Many of which are tough to hear. I do however, enjoy those moments where something comes full circle. I found myself sitting in a park in Stilwell Oklahoma listening to a Cherokee storyteller. For a moment, I was just a kid listening and laughing along. Moments like these recharge and make the campaign trail worth it.

We must have financial transparency as elected officials and government officials are expected to be held accountable.
