I am a wife, a mother of 3, an attorney, a minister, and earnestly, a servant of the people. As a former educator and currently an attorney, I can bring a unique perspective and insight to our judiciary. Having worked in our community as a teacher, a minister, an attorney, and recently as a hearing officer, I have firsthand knowledge of the various issues and struggles that the average members of our community face daily; be it socially or legally. I have a passion for people and helping them navigate our legal system in a way that promotes transparency and that would help foster a continued confidence in our courts. By coupling the knowledge and experience gained as an attorney, hearing officer, and educator, I prayerfully aim to build a judicial career that will allow me to serve and educate. My hope is to model service, perseverance, and grit for our community as a whole, but especially for our youth, and I believe that can be done very effectively from the bench.
  • I will listen. If elected, I will truly listen with my ears, mind, and heart to both sides of the matter to make sure that I've considered all matters being laid before. I won't forget that my rulings will effect real people, families, and their livelihoods.
  • I will respect you. If elected, I will render fair and just rulings on the matter at hand; my decisions-rulings-sentences, will not encompass any bias or preconceived notions about social status, race, culture or anything of the sort. I will treat others how I would want to be treated.
  • I will serve, as I'm a servant of the people. I will continue to serve in our community as I always have, and it is my absolute pleasure to do so.
I am passionate about policies designed to protect the public from unscrupulous business practices and other types of harm. I am also passionate about any policy that promotes transparency, equity (fairness), and justice in our court system.
I believe a judge should have a variety of legal and life experience, and most importantly, a servant's heart. If elected, I would ensure the courtroom is a level playing-field where all parties, regardless of their background or social-economic status, are treated fairly and impartially and have access to a judge who will rule in accordance with the law. My diverse legal and life experience makes me uniquely qualified to serve in this capacity, equitably, impartially, and with civility.
