Campaign themes

2016

Santana's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Education

Say NO to Charter Schools!

Charter schools are not one size fits all!

Juvenile Mental Illness

There are limited resources in the Eastern Panhandle for juveniles with mental illness. We need to do better than that.

If a juvenile needs extensive treatment they could be sent hours away from their family, friends and support system to do so. This is unacceptable. We need the resources in the Eastern Panhandle to help them. If we can get the mental illness treated, even if it is a small way, we may prevent them from turning to drugs. This would help get the drug issue in our community under control. Our children deserve better.

Right to Work is WRONG

Right to Work is WRONG for West Virginia

Do you agree with child labor laws?

Do you agree with minimum wage?

Do you agree with the ability to have an employee collectively bargin with their employer for an honest wage and benefits?

Do you agree with supporting the working families?

If you answered YES to these questions then you must OPPOSE the misguided "right to work" agenda. That bill has NOTHING to do with right to work. It has a priority of destroying unions. The very unions that brought us the items mentioned above.

As your delegate I would oppose right to work and the destruction of unions.[2]
