Chuck Hufstetler (Republican Party) is a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 52. He assumed office on January 14, 2013. His current term ends on January 11, 2027.
Hufstetler (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Georgia State Senate to represent District 52. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Chuck Hufstetler was born in Rome, GA and earned a degree in anesthesiology from the Emory University School of Medicine and a bachelor's degree in biology and psychology from the University of Georgia in 1980. Hufstetler's career experience includes working as an anesthesiologist at Redmond Regional Hospital and as an adjunct professor at the Emory University School of Medicine. He is a member of a number of organizations, including Georgia Right to Life, the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, and the National Rifle Association. Hufstetler was elected to the state senate in 2012.[1]

Note: On May 12, 2022, Administrative Court Judge Charles Beaudrot ruled that Jeff Lewis was not eligible to run in the 2022 primary for Georgia State Senate. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) later upheld the ruling. After Lewis appealed the decision, Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville reinstated Lewis on the ballot.[2][3][4]

The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent C.E. "Chuck" Hufstetler was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[9][10][11]
