Lee ran for re-election to the Salem-Keizer Public Schools school board to represent Zone 6 in Oregon. Lee lost in the general election on May 21, 2019.

He won re-election in the general election on May 19, 2015.

Lee was a 2014 independent candidate for District 25 of the Oregon House of Representatives. Although Lee ran as an independent, he won the Democratic primary as a write-in candidate on May 20, 2014.[1][2] Lee was defeated in the general election by Bill Post (R).

Three of the sevens seats on the Salem-Keizer School Board were up for general election on May 19, 2015. Zone 2 incumbent Jeff Faville, Zone 4 incumbent Jim Green and Zone 6 incumbent Chuck Lee's seats were up for election. Faville did not file to seek re-election.

Marty Heyen defeated Vilma Chan Vasquez in the race for the open Zone 2 seat. Lee triumphed over Timothy Moles in the Zone 6 race, while Green won re-election to the Zone 4 seat unopposed.

Funding

Lee began the race with an existing account balance of $5,412.14 from his previous campaign. He reported $1,400.42 in contributions and $1,745.71 in expenditures to Oregon Secretary of State, which left his campaign with $5,066.85 in cash on hand in this election.[3]

Elections for the Oregon House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Bill Post defeated Barbara Jensen in the Republican primary. He also ran on the Libertarian party ticket. Josh Smith ran as a Pacific Green Party candidate. Post defeated Chuck Lee (I, WFP) and Smith in the general election.[4][5][6]
