Chuck Poochigian
Chuck Poochigian was a judge of the California 5th District Court of Appeal. He assumed office in 2009. He left office in 2025.
Poochigian ran for re-election for judge of the California 5th District Court of Appeal. He won in the retention election on November 6, 2018.
He was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on August 18, 2009. He was confirmed by the California Commission on Judicial Appointments after a hearing on September 24, 2009.[1][2]
Education
Poochigian earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Fresno, in 1972 and his law degree from Santa Clara University in 1975. [3]
Career
Poochigian was elected to the California General Assembly in 1994 and to the State Senate in 1998. He made an unsuccessful bid for California Attorney General in 2006, after which he joined the law firm Dowling, Aaron & Keeler.[3][4]
