Chuck Reed
Charles Rufus "Chuck" Reed (born August 15, 1948) is a former mayor of San Jose, California. He held the position from 2007 to 2015. Before becoming mayor, Reed was a member of the San Jose City Council from 2000 to 2006, representing District 4.[1]
Biography
Reed was raised in Garden City, Kansas. He attended the United States Air Force Academy and served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Reed earned a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.[2]

- Reed was a co-sponsor of the California Pension Reform Initiative (2014).
