I am a 29-year-old resident of San Antonio, having relocated here in the summer of 2019. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Computational Economics (Applied Computer Science) from Pitzer College. For the past six years, I have served as a software engineering contractor supporting the United States Air Force within San Antonio.

My background includes a first-generation Nigerian-Mexican American working-class upbringing in Southwest Houston, Texas. My civic priorities are focused on enhancing district-wide ADA compliance and emergency utility public safety measures. I am also committed to fostering economic growth by empowering small business owners to attract investment, and to inspiring the next generation of leadership within our community.

"I'm passionate about building a better future. As a first-generation American, I've learned the importance of unity and understanding. I believe we need leaders who prioritize humanity and work together to create a fair and just system. My parents' courage inspires me to make politics a force for good; instead of treating politics like it’s a football game.”
  • San Antonio's growth hinges on attracting investment and jobs, building a skilled workforce via targeted education, and empowering small businesses with grants and programs. This fosters a thriving economy by supporting key industries and local entrepreneurs.
  • Infrastructure (particularly streets) to comply with ADA regulations , addressing homelessness and increasing affordable housing along with emergency wifi/ utilities. Within my first 100 days, I'll prioritize data-driven solutions. Leveraging the South Texas Medical Center's resources, I'll initiate a collaborative analysis of emergency room reliance by the homeless population, focusing on underlying mental health needs. This will create more cost-effective interventions that would help the city better combat homelessness with better outcomes.
  • We must invest in vocational training and apprenticeship programs that equip residents with in-demand skills for industries like construction, manufacturing, and technology. I will also work to attract businesses that provide well-paying jobs and support small business growth, which is a crucial engine of our local economy. I would reach out to “Ready to Work SA” for their feedback on how their latest 2024 program launched with Alamo Colleges is doing after reviewing feedback and their rate of completion amongst residents working toward a 4 year degree v.s. Certifications.
As a VIA bus rider, I understand the daily transportation challenges faced by many. Addressing public safety is also vital. Texas’s high drunk driving fatality rate, coupled with the high volume of VIA riders (94,600 weekday average in late 2024), underscores the need for improved public safety measures.
San Antonio's City Council District 8 is a uniquely important part of the city, and indirectly, the state system, due to its concentration of major economic and institutional hubs like the South Texas Medical Center, USAA, and UTSA, coupled with its significant population growth and diverse demographics. This combination necessitates careful city-level policy decisions regarding infrastructure, zoning, and resource allocation, issues that often have legal and regulatory implications and impact the broader San Antonio region's interactions with the state.

Empathy, emotional intelligence, non-bias judgment, humble, caring, technically savvy and common sense.
My problem solving skills, caring for the betterment of humanity and unbiased judgment.
To meet the pressing demands of our residents within our city's budget limitation within "red-tape" regulations and being actively transparent of where their tax paying dollars are being allocated locally throughout the city.
A peaceful one that united nations.

Balancing my empathy with my personal boundaries as a former people pleaser.
To ensure active solicitation of community input and feedback, I propose a multi-faceted approach. This will include regularly scheduled, live-streamed District 8 Town Hall Meetings, and collaborative community events partnering with local non-profit organizations.

Furthermore, I will establish consistent office hours and convene advisory boards composed of engaged community members. Additionally, I will text out surveys and data analysis to effectively ascertain community priorities and evaluate the efficacy of implemented policies.
Yes and No, because it should depend on their well-rounded diverse set of skills and the moral of their character must be humble. What good is a powerful person if they don't care about humanity, all they would do is bring harm to all. They must care about the people they are leading, in order to bring out the best out of a nation without bias. The goal is to unite and grow, never to divide and conquer your nation of allies.
Digital marketing skills, communication, understanding our city's local economics, awareness of the daily challenges of our residents, passionate in expanding resources to better support families and patience to listen.
I saw a parrot hanging out on one of his owner's shoulders on a date and called the parrot the man's wing man! I cracked myself up for weeks lmao.
Public access to city spending: transparency and accountability are vital tools for preventing corruption. While ensuring that government serves the people to prevent conflicts of interest and corruption. Overall my views on financial transparency and accountability must support the empowerment of citizens and ensure that government is responsive to their needs proactively.
