I am a recently retired nonprofit development professional, whose 25+ year career was dedicated to creating vibrant connections and nurturing relationships with integrity across a wide array of philanthropic sectors in New Hampshire.

A Granite Stater since 1994, my husband, Tom "Stew" Stewart, a retired teacher, educator, and coach at Monadnock Regional High School for 40+ years, and I have called Manchester home since 2018. Our six adult kids are all graduates of NH public schools, and seven of our nine grandchildren attend or will attend NH public schools. I am a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and Port Clinton High School, Ohio.

I am driven to pursue public service out of genuine concern and a deep belief in public education as a pillar of our Democracy, and I am guided by balancing defiance against injustice with unwavering hope for a better future. I bring passion and purpose to every endeavor and I believe that this moment calls for both courage and vision.
  • Public educations is under brutal attack at the federal, state, and local levels. Those working to dismantle this foundational institution are doing so with reckless disregard for our kids, our educators, and our future. It's a dangerous threat to our community's overall well-being and prosperity, and it is wrong. I am unapologetically pro-public schools. I have a heart for service and for kids, and an urgent desire to direct my energy toward listening, learning, and working towards informed, equitable solutions.
  • Manchester is New Hampshire's largest and most diverse school district. I believe that together, we should celebrate it, protect it, and strengthen it. My values are clear: I'm running so that every student, no matter their background or circumstance, can learn, thrive, and succeed. And our educators and educational support professionals feel valued, respected, and supported. I will champion initiatives that promote student well-being, ensure safe and welcoming schools, and embrace the rich diversity that makes Manchester vibrant and unique.
  • I am prepared to tackle complex challenges through collaboration and accountability. My approach combines the urgency of an advocate with the pragmatism of someone who gets things done, carefully considering facts, perspectives, and strategy. I believe Board of School Committee members should be good stewards of financial resources and secure support for mission-critical programs. They should make smart investments that strengthen educational outcomes and keep infrastructure safe and functioning. They should provide effective oversight to support and govern the Manchester School District with care and common sense. I will be a public servant who humbly leads to unite families, educators, and the greater Manchester community.
I believe that budgets are moral documents that reflect values and priorities. To run a school district effectively, sufficient funding is essential. I’m deeply concerned by the pattern of intentional underfunding of the Manchester School District in recent years.

As a community, we have a moral obligation to prepare our children to be critically thinking, well-rounded, educated leaders and contributing members of society. That includes foundational skills in reading and math, and student success in a workforce shaped by technology, innovation, and global change.

I will participate in the 2026-2027 budget process with prudence and pragmatism. I will work to ensure that every dollar committed reflects a commitment to public education.
I believe integrity and authenticity are two of the most important characteristics for an elected official. I also feel an elected official should be approachable, humble, earnest, and sincere. If elected, I will additionally be engaged, curious, and dedicated. I believe Manchester's school spirit and pride can be and will be felt in al corners of our community, and I will be one of its most enthusiastic cheerleaders!
The first historical event that I remember with great clarity is the Apollo 11 landing on the moon in July 1969! I was seven years old and going into the second grade. I am the oldest of three siblings, and my mom was trying to watch it but she couldn't get the younger ones quiet! I was entranced watching the slow-motion movements of the astronauts, even if it was on a black and white TV! I grew up in northwest Ohio and Neal Armstrong was our hero since he was from Ohio, too! I remember thinking how proud I felt to be an American, probably one of the first times I understood what "Patriotic" meant. The event was so exciting and surreal. I don't remember wanting to someday go to the moon myself, but I remember thinking how cool science was!
