|- Improve Public Safety - We must ensure our families and neighbors feel safe. To do so, neighborhood organizations should be empowered to work with the police to implement community policing strategies. It fosters mutual respect between residents and the police. In addition, we need to work to become fully staffed within the police departments and this includes full staffing of the police precincts within my district.
- Economic Development and Infrastructure- Supporting and encouraging locally owned businesses should be an economic development priority. Using federal funds granted to cities can leverage an even greater amount of private sector investment in our local businesses and serve as a catalyst for affordable home loans to our residents. As your Councilwoman, I shall promote investment of city dollars into the economic drivers of entrepreneurship and home ownership to realize a much greater return on investment by expanding our economy.
- Connecting Neighborhoods and Education- after school activities for all residents and serve as a community center has proven to be a best practices model utilized throughout the country.
