The city of Boston, Massachusetts, held a special general election for city council on May 3, 2022. A primary was scheduled for April 5, 2022, but was canceled.[1] The filing deadline for this election was February 24, 2022.
The special election was called after City Council District 1 member Lydia Edwards was elected to the Massachusetts State Senate to represent the 1st Suffolk and Middlesex District.
