The city of New Orleans, Louisiana, is holding general elections for district attorney, constable, civil district court judges, criminal district court judges, criminal district magistrate, juvenile court judges, and municipal and traffic court judges on December 12, 2026. A primary is scheduled for November 3, 2026. The filing deadline for this election is July 31, 2026.

A special primary for civil district court judges and criminal district court judge is being held on May 16, 2026. A general election is scheduled for June 27, 2026, if needed. The filing deadline for this election was February 13, 2026.[1]

Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote. If no candidate does, the top two vote recipients from the primary advance to the general election, regardless of their partisan affiliation.

The primary will occur on May 16, 2026. The general election will occur on June 27, 2026. General election candidates will be added here following the primary.
