A City of Akron Charter Amendment question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Summit County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.

This question amended the Akron City Charter to eliminate the cost of an extra election by establishing the election all Council members to a four year term on the same day.[1]

Language on the ballot:

Shall Sections 28.2 and 53 of the Charter of the City of Akron be amended to eliminate the cost of an extra election, to elect all Council members to a four year term at the same election commencing 2015 and to limit raises for members of Council and the Mayor?[1][2]
