A City of Alameda Contracts Must be Written, Measure R ballot question was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of Alameda in Alameda County, where it was approved.
Measure R requires that any vendor contract the city enters into must be in writing. It also states that the city isn't bound by a contractual obligation unless it is in writing.

| Measure R: "Shall the Charter of the City of Alameda be amended to provide that every contract shall be in writing and that the City shall not be bound by any contract unless it complies with the Charter?
