A City of Del Ray Oaks Sales Tax Extension, Measure S was on the November 8, 2011 ballot for voters in the City of Del Rey Oaks in Monterey County, where it was approved.

The approval of Measure S means that the city's current 1% sales tax will be extended for five more years.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Measure S: "Shall the existing one percent (1%) Transactions and Use Tax be re-authorized and extended for a period of not more than five (5) years, unless terminated sooner by the City Council or unless extension or re-authorization is approved by the voters of the City at an election called for that purpose, the proceeds of said tax to be utilized for general purposes?"[1]
