A City of Downey Utility Taxes, Measure D ballot question was on the November 6, 2012, ballot for voters in the City of Downey in Los Angeles County, where it was approved.
With approval of Measure D, the utility tax in the city went down from 5% to 4.8% but it applies to additional utilities.

| Measure D: "Shall an ordinance be adopted to reduce the tax on telecommunication services from 5% to 4.8%; modernize the prdinance to treat taxpayers equally regardless of technology used; and to preserve funding of general City services, such as police, fire protection, street maintenance; and for parks and recreation, library and senior citizen programs; subject to an annual independent audit?"[1] |
