A City of Guadalupe Sales Tax Increase, Measure X ballot question was on the November 4, 2014 election ballot for voters in the city of Guadalupe in Santa Barbara County, California. It was approved.

Measure X increased the local sales tax by 0.25 percent, raising the total sales tax paid by city taxpayers from 8 percent to 8.25 percent. City officials expected Measure X to bring about $62,500 per year in additional revenue to the city's coffers.

Guadalupe Mayor Frances Romero said, “We cannot continue to take money out of special restricted funds so that’s why these measures are so important." She also said that without the approval of this measure, as well as Measure W and Measure V, the other two revenue-boosting measures on the city's November ballot, Guadalupe may be forced to relinquish its incorporated status.[1] However, all three were approved on election day.
