Oregon: The City of Keizer plans to appeal a referee decision to the Oregon Court of Appeals Land Use Board. The City is currently fighting to allow construction plans for a large discount grocer and other mixed use land to continue forward. The neighborhood watch group Keep Keizer Livable has protested the city's interpretation of city code since the project began. Referees from the Court of Appeals ruled that a condition the city council approved for this project contradicts the intent those councilors had when creating the code in 2008. The referees also noted that the developer and the city erred when calculating traffic data for the proposed development. The case is scheduled to be heard November 8th.[1]
