A City of King Sales Tax, Measure M ballot question was on the November 4, 2014 election ballot for voters in the city of King in Monterey County, California. It was approved.
Upon approval, Measure M established a half-cent sales tax to improve city finances and city services. The tax will end in seven years.[1]

To address the City of King financial situation, improve city finances and improve the services to the city residents, shall the City of King establish a ½ cent sales tax legally ending in 7 years, with independent citizen oversight, regular audits and no funding for salary or benefit increases for current employees?
