A City of Pittsburg hotel tax, Measure H ballot question was on the November 8, 2011 ballot for voters in the City of Pittsburg in Contra Costa County, where it was approved.
Measure H increases the hotel tax in Pittsburg from 8% to a maximum of 12%. It also eliminates the tax exemption for federal and state employees traveling on official business.

| MEASURE H: To provide for and maintain the City’s programs and services, including youth facilities, police services, park and recreational facilities; city streets, and other city purposes, shall an ordinance be adopted increasing the transient occupancy tax, which is a general tax charged on persons renting hotel rooms, from 8 percent to a maximum of 12 percent and eliminating the tax exemption for federal and state employees traveling on official business?[1] |
