A City of Ridgecrest Sales Tax for Street Repairs, Measure N ballot measure was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of Ridgecrest in Kern County, California, where it was defeated.
If Measure N had been approved, it would have imposed a "special transactions and use tax" for "specific street improvements." The sales tax would have been .75 cents. The tax would have been in effect for ten years.
A two-thirds (66.67%) vote was required for approval.
