Primary: She was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 30.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Robert C. Johnson. [1][2][3]

Toombs received a B.S. from Grambling State University in 1975 and a J.D. from Southern University Law Center in 1985.[4]

Career

Toombs runs a private law practice in Monroe, LA. She has previously served as an assistant district attorney and a city prosecutor.[5]
