Clarence E. Phillips is a district court judge for the 30th Judicial District in Virginia.[1] He was elected to the court by the Virginia General Assembly in May 2012 to a term that expires in 2020.[2]

Education

Phillips received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 1975, his master's degree from East Tennessee State University in 1982, and his J.D. equivalency from the Virginia State Bar in 1988.[3]

Career

Before he became a judge, Phillips served as a delegate for the Virginia House of Delegates from 1990 until 2011. He is a lawyer by trade.[3]

Phillips did not seek re-election in 2011. His residency was changed from district 2 to district 4 after the 2011 redistricting process.

2009

On November 3, 2009, Phillips won re-election to the 2nd District Seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Phillips raised $50,426 for his campaign.[5]
