Clarence Galston (1876-1964) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He joined the court in 1929 after an appointment from Herbert Hoover. At the time of his appointment, he was a private practice attorney in New York City. On January 1, 1957, he assumed senior status. He served in this capacity until his death on January 22, 1964.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Eastern District of New York

Galston was nominated by President Herbert Hoover on April 18, 1929 to fill the seat created by 45 Stat. 1409. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 29th, and received commission that same day. Galston was succeeded in this position by Joseph Zavatt. On January 1, 1957, he assumed senior status. He served in this capacity until his death on January 22, 1964.[1]
