Clark County Sales Tax Increase (February 2010)
There was a Clark County Sales Tax Increase proposition on the February 2 ballot in Clark County.
This measure was approved[1]
This was the second attempt by the county to get a sales tax increase approved by voters in order to help build a new county court house. The current one is old and outdated and needs repairs. But courthouse workers agreed unanimously that a new one would be better suited than just repairs to the old. The sales tax increase would be half a percent and would only go towards the demolition and building of the courthouse.[2]
