Clark Mason
Clark W. Mason was a candidate for the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2016. He ran for the seat of retiring Justice Paul Danielson.[1] He was defeated by Judge Shawn Womack.
Education
Mason earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.[2]
Career
Mason's professional experience includes working as a trial attorney in Little Rock.[2] The 2016 Arkansas Supreme Court race was his first campaign for elected office.[3] He previously served as a special associate justice on the supreme court.

On May 26, 2015, Justice Paul Danielson announced that he would not seek re-election and would retire from the bench upon the expiration of his term at the end of 2016.[4]
Mason ran for Danielson's seat. His opponent was Shawn Womack, a circuit judge in the 14th judicial district and a former Republican state legislator.[3] Womack defeated Mason in an election on March 1.
