Claudia Barrientos was a member of the East Central Independent School District in Texas, representing District 6. Barrientos left office in 2022.
Barrientos won re-election to the East Central Independent School District to represent District 6 in Texas outright after the general election on November 3, 2020, was canceled.

The general election was canceled. Claudia Barrientos (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.
2016
Three of the seven seats on the East Central Independent School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. District 3 incumbent John Massengale filed for re-election and was running unopposed. In District 4, incumbent Victor Garza was the sole candidate to file in the race. District 6 incumbent Claudia Barrientos faced challengers Mona Lopez and Amanda Rivas.[1]
