Claudia J. Jordan
Claudia J. Jordan was a judge on the Denver County Court in Colorado.[1] She was appointed to the court in 1994.[2] Jordan retired from the court in 2014.
Education
Jordan received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.[2]
Career
Before Jordan joined the court, she worked in the public and private sectors. Jordan spent five years with the Colorado Public Defenders' Office and then seven years in private practice.[2]
Elections
2012
Jordan was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 72.62 percent of the vote.[3]

Judicial performance evaluation
The Second Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance announced its recommendations for judges up for retention in 2012. According to its website, the commission evaluates judges based on the following criteria: integrity, legal knowledge, communication skills, judicial temperament, and administrative performance.[4]
Judge Jordan was recommended for retention by a 8-2 vote. [2]
