Clay Pell was a Democratic candidate for Governor of Rhode Island in the 2014 elections.[1]

Pell served as U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for International and Foreign Language Education. He left the post in October 2013 after announcing he was considering a bid for governor.[2]
