Clay Pirkle
Clay Pirkle (Republican Party) was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 169. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. He left office on January 13, 2025.
Pirkle (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 169. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
Clay Pirkle earned a B.S. in economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the University of Georgia. His career experience includes working as a farmer with Pirkle Farms, an economist with the U.S. government, a commercial banker, an economics instructor with Darton College, and a teaching assistant with the economics department and soybean lab of the University of Georgia.[1]

2015
A special election for the position of Georgia House of Representatives District 155 was called for July 14.[6] A runoff election took place on August 11. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3.[7]
The seat was vacant following Jay Roberts' (R) appointment to planning director of the state Department of Transportation.[8]
Scott Lowell Downing (R), Horace Hudgins (R), Sherry Miley (R) and Clay Pirkle (R) faced off in a special election.[9] Since no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, the top two vote-getters, Hudgins and Pirkle, met in a runoff election, which Pirkle won.[10][11]
