Cleopatra McRae

Cleopatra McRae is a former Utah Eighth Judicial District judge for Uintah County, Utah for the Vernal Justice Court.[1] Judge McRae was appointed to this position in June 1993.[2] McRae retired, effective December 31, 2011.[3]

Education

McRae has attended courses at Weber State University on the criminal justice system, prisons, arrests, search and seizure, and the Utah Criminal Code. She has also completed training courses at the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada on special court jurisdiction, and she has graduated from Utah Legal Institute Levels I and II, Advanced Criminal Procedures. McRae worked as a paralegal/office manager for the firm of McRae and Deland. She has also worked for the University of Utah's Social Work Center and as a counselor for the Department of Labor. McRae was appointed to the Vernal City Justice Court in June of 1993. She has served in that position since.[2]
