Clifford N. Sickler

Clifford N. Sickler is a judge on the Monroe County Court in Ohio. He was appointed by Governor John Kasich on April 3, 2015, effective April 13, for a term that expires in 2016.[1]
He was previously a judge on the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas Probate/Juvenile Division in Ohio.[2] He was appointed to the court by Governor John Kasich to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Walter R. Starr. Sickler assumed office on June 4, 2013, and served out the remainder of Starr's term, which expired on February 9, 2015.[3] Sickler was defeated in his bid for election to the court in 2014.

General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 40.2 percent of the vote. He competed against James W. Peters.

Education
Sickler received his undergraduate degree in political science from Kent State University in 1974 and his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 1977.[3]
Career
Sickler previously served on the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas from 2013 to 2015. Prior to joining the court, Sickler served as the county prosecutor for Noble County, Ohio.[3]
