Newcomer Clifton Hinote defeated Joseph Pool in the race for the open District 2 seat. The seat of District 4 incumbent Jenny Granse was set to be on the ballot for the primary election, but when the county's filing deadline passed and no challenger filed, the election for the seat was canceled and Granse was automatically re-elected.[1]
