I am a Christian Conservative, Husband, Father and Small Business owner. As a traditional conservative republican, I believe in family values, constitutional liberties, a government that is smaller, transparent, and accountable, lower taxes, and free market principles.
  • 1st amendment - The linchpin for all liberty, and the capstone to the active democracy necessary for our constitutional republic, the 1st amendment defines our freedom of speech, religion, assembly, press and petition. It affords us the right to set our own values and pursuits, and also gives us the ability to enact the changes needed to live freely and without fear of government intrusion, while ensuring that our government should always be of, by, and for the people.
  • 10th amendment - States rights are essential for a reason. The 10th Amendment allows each state to decide, govern, and maintain with policies and practices that work best for its citizens.
  • Family Values & Protecting our Children - The family is the fabric that holds our society together. Starting in the home, reverberating out into the community, and ultimately the nation, what starts in the home has a lasting effect on the future of our nation. We have a common sense, moreover, moral obligation to protect our children and families by any means.
Fighting for our liberties and constitutional foundation, securing our borders, a protecting our children from radical leftist ideologies.
A focus on the people, with a mind towards fundamentals of our nations founding document. Then vigilance and diligence to stay grounded in a heart of service and responsibility towards the people and our state's best interests. Along with these things comes a necessity to be constantly informed in regards to the issues of the day, nationally and globally, as well as being well read and studied in the legislation that comes across the desk. Most importantly, a commitment to not compromise or be led astray either by money, pride or power.
The Bible, because it has all the answers to life, especially the deep and most meaningful.
One that is rooted in checks and balance, but a healthy respect for the power in each position.
Maintaining our state autonomy, while keeping our values and focus on the people, families and tradition, and not letting industry or a push towards globalism erode the culture, strength, and liberty inherent to our state or national constitution.
Yes. It is good to form coalitions, building together a culture and direction. It takes collaboration to get things done in politics these days more than ever. Plus it is always good and necessary to understand the points and perspectives of all involved in the political process.
They are essential to make sure that we do indeed have a government of, by and for the people.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Idaho

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
