Clint Reed works as a partner at the Impact Management Group, a public affairs consulting firm in Little Rock, Ark.. He has worked for the Republican Party or its candidates in various capacities since former President George W. Bush's re-election campaign in 2004. In 2015, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) hired Reed to lead his presidential campaign in Iowa.

Career

Reed earned a B.A. in history and politics from Lyon College in 1999. He went on to earn a master's degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In 2004, Reed won the "Best Local Article" award from the Arkansas Historical Association for his article "Batesville, Bryan, and Direct Democracy: The Lasting Legacy," published in Arkansas Historical Quarterly. Reed worked as an aide for former Arkansas Senator Tim Hutchinson (R).[1][2][3]

He worked for former President George W. Bush's re-election campaign in 2004 managing grassroots outreach. From 2004 to 2007, Reed served as the executive director of the Republican Party of Arkansas. Later, Reed became the regional political director for the Republican National Committee (RNC) from 2007 to 2009. In that capacity, Reed had a budget of $50 million and was the political liaison between the RNC and the southeastern state Republican parties in 2008.[2]

In 2008, Reed managed get-out-the-vote efforts for former Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss (R) when he ran in a special run-off election. For his work in the 2008 election cycle, Time magazine named him "one of the three most important people in America not running for President."[2][1]

Arkansas Business named Reed one of the most significant political leaders under the age of forty in 2009. In 2011, Talk Business & Politics called Reed one of the "Young Guns" in Arkansas politics in a profile of his accomplishments. Later, Campaigns and Elections named Reed among the top Republican political insiders on its 2013 "Influencers 500" list of influential people in politics around the country.[4][3][1]

Impact Management Group

Reed joined the Impact Management Group as a partner in 2009. The Impact Management Group is a public affairs consulting firm based in Little Rock, Ark., and Baton Rouge, La. It works with businesses as well as political clients such as the United States Chamber of Commerce and Republican Governors Association.[2][1]

In September 2015, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) hired Reed to be Iowa campaign director for his 2016 presidential campaign.[5]
