Clint Smith (Democratic Party) is a judge for Section A of the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court in Louisiana. He assumed office on January 1, 2021. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Smith (Democratic Party) ran for election for the Section A judge of the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court in Louisiana. He won in the general election on December 5, 2020.
Smith was a 2013 candidate for the Orleans Parish Traffic Court in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.[1]
Smith was a temporary judge for the Traffic Court (Division A) of Orleans Parish, Louisiana. He took office on July 1, 2011 (to replace the late Judge Dennis Dannel). He was replaced by John "Ross" Smith on September 15, 2011.[2]

Smith ran for election to the Orleans Parish Traffic Court.
Primary: He received 17.4 percent of the vote in the primary on October 19, 2013, defeating Marie A. Bookman, Demetrie Ford, Patrick A. Giraud, Charmaine L. Marchand, Richard Perque, Nanak Rai and D. Nicole Sheppard.
General: He was defeated by Steven Jupiter in the general election on November 16, 2013, after receiving 46.2 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]

Education
Smith earned an undergraduate degree from Morehouse College, going on to receive his J.D. from Tulane University Law School.[6]
Career
Upon graduating law school, Smith worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Revius Ortique, Jr. He later practiced law broadly as a partner with Bryan & Jupiter and two other law firms before founding his own.[6]
Smith served appointed terms as judge pro tempore of the Orleans Parish Traffic Court and as ad hoc judge of the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court.[6]
