A Clinton County R-III School District Property Tax Levy ballot question was overwhelmingly approved on the August 6, 2013, election ballot in Clay County, which is in Missouri.
This measure authorized the Clinton County R-III School District to increase its property tax levy ceiling by $0.30 per $100 of assessed valuation. The estimated tax increase will raise the tax rate from $3.9134 to $4.2134 per $100 of assessed valuation. The increased revenue was designed to be used for funding district salaries in order to attract and retain quality staff members.[1]

| “ | Shall the Board of Education of the Clinton County R-III School District be authorized to increase the District’s operating tax levy ceiling by $0.30 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation for the purpose of funding District salaries in order to attract and retain quality staff members?
If this question is approved, the operating tax levy ceiling of the District is estimated to increase from $3.9134 to $4.2134 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation.[1][2] |
