Cloves Campbell Jr. is a former Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing the 16th District from 2007 to 2011.

Campbell's professional experience includes working as a Board Chairman and Co-Publisher of the Arizona Informant.

He is on the Board of a number of organizations, including 100 Black Men of Phoenix, Black Theater Troupe, Mountain Park Health Association, Community Advisory Board - Salvation Army, Tanner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and the West Coast Black Publishers' Board.[1]

Campbell faced Ruben Gallego, Sandra Gonzales, Cristy Lopez, Catherine H. Miranda and Jim Munoz in the August 24 primary for the 16th District seat. Gallego (4,148) and Miranda (3,475) each garnered more votes than Campbell (3,181). Gallego and Miaranda faced Republican Michael Gular in the November 2 general election.

2008

On November 4, 2008, Campbell and Ben R. Miranda were elected to the 16th District Seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, defeating opponent Raymond Williams (R).[2]

Campbell raised $12,980 for the campaign, Miranda raised $35,347, and Williams raised $1,600.[3]
