That a normal guy can win against a political machine and remind people that a good congressman listens to their district

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

9/11. I was 11

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Working for my fathering doing electrical work. For 4 years

What happened on your most awkward date?

My new girlfriend and I went kayaking. I paddled up to her and she accidentally hit me in the face, giving me a black eye. Later down the river I get knocked out. I come out of the water gasping for air and her kayak hits me in the back of the head nearly drowning me. Been together ever sense.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?

Christmas. I love making people happy

What is your favorite book? Why?

Count of Monte Cristo. I love the beauty in the story. The growth of the main character from nothing to a man with great importance in society.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Professor X

What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?

The floor. Its a wood grain tile that my wife and I installed ourselves. It was hard and so rewarding.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

red hot chili peppers otherside

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

I had financial struggles as soon as I moved out. As soon as I moved out my car broke down. Struggling to make monthly car payments, rent, and to just put food on the table.

What process do you favor for redistricting?

I feel we need to have an independent committee to draw lines fairly

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

initiate revenue bills, impeach federal officials, and elect the President in the case of an electoral college tie

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

I don't believe it is necessary. The incumbent shows that it is not needed

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Healthcare, immigration, the debt, and gun laws

Transportation and Infrastructure, Science, Space, and Technology, and Energy and Commerce

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

Yes

Term limits should be put in place for Congress.

I am not looking to join leadership.

Confirming or rejecting treaties

I don't think it is required

In this day and age it is a waste

If they are hard worker and motivated
