I am a 5th generation Whitman County farmer/rancher, on our family farm that was homesteaded in 1900. A Pullman High and WSU Alumni, my wife and I raise our three children in Pullman. I was formally in commercial project management exclusively on government contracts, managing budgets to 3m dollars, the personnel, and red tape that goes along with that. I am a fiscal conservative, who doesn't believe in going into debt and living within your means. I have no aspirations for a career in politics, I am only trying to help get the county on a better track.
  • Incentivize business and economic development; tax credits, business incubators, recruitment of new business to our ports and in our communities.
  • Maintaining or ideally lowering property taxes.
  • Making the county government open and transparent. Making commissioner meetings available to watch after they happen. Staying connected to local news outlets with regular appearances to keep people informed on county business. And seeking input from groups and individuals, making sure the decisions the commissioners make actually align with what our constituents want.
Planning and zoning and an overall reduction in government regulation.
They should be of high moral character, and willing to put the interests of their constituents ahead of their own.
Honesty and integrity. And because I am truly in this race to try and put the county on a better path, not just for a job.
To manage the taxpayers dollar no different than they would their own.
I want my three kids to be great people, I would like to leave our part of the world better than I found it.
Working on the farm, and I'm still doing it!
I have a toddler currently, Five little speckled frogs.
I've always struggled shutting my mind off and being able to fall asleep.
I am all for transparency and accountability. I think Whitman County government in general has a problem with transparency in particular.
