Cody Weaver moved to Plano in May 2017. He was first elected to the Plano ISD Board of Trustees, Place 7, in May 2019 and has since been dedicated to positively impacting the education and well-being of Plano's students. Cody graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Leadership Education and Development and a Minor in Business Administration.

Cody, a licensed residential real estate associate broker in Collin County, has been active in the industry since 2010. He is also deeply involved in the community, serving as an active member of Congregation Shearith Israel, Anshai Torah, and the Dallas Area Torah Association in Plano. Cody has contributed his expertise to several real estate boards, including the Texas Association of Realtors' Professional Standards Committee. Cody is a Dallas FBI Citizens Academy and Leadership Plano graduate, Class 38. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service through his previous roles as the Vice President of The Emilio and Giovanna Piccinini Better Future Foundation and founder of the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center Fund at the Communities Foundation of Texas.

Since moving to Plano in 2017, Cody and his wife, Marny—a proud graduate of Plano Senior High—have raised their two sons in this vibrant city. The family also includes their beloved giant schnauzer doodle, Atlas.
  • A well-funded, well-trained, and well-equipped Police, Fire, and EMS civil service is absolutely essential to keeping crime low and promoting a family-friendly environment.
  • Keeping taxes low isn’t just about keeping citizens’ hard-earned money in their pockets; it’s about keeping seniors on fixed incomes in their homes and treating them with dignity. I will fight for every Plano citizen to keep our suburban character intact. That starts with keeping Plano families in their Plano homes.
  • We must address the city’s infrastructure, including our transportation services. One solution that has been proposed is expanding the DART GoLink service in Plano. Although the DART tax issue still needs to be addressed, improving transportation services for Plano residents is a great start. I believe these areas of focus are essential to protect and preserve Plano's suburban character for generations to come.
Public Safety - Fully funding Police, Fire, and EMS. Support for Plano Fire & Rescue’s 48/96 Schedule.

Growth Management - Prioritize single-family homes, townhomes, condos, and senior living over apartments and high-density housing.
Public Transportation - Negotiate with DART or work with legislators to reduce the DART tax on Plano and increase DART GoLink services in Plano.
Fiscal Responsibility - Maximizing the efficiency of our city’s budget while maintaining a high standard of living for Plano residents.
Economic and Workforce Development - Keep Plano business-friendly and expand our commercial property tax base.

Preserving and Enhancing Public Amenities - Keep Plano family-friendly & fam
Dennis Prager is someone I hold in high regard. His commentary on the Torah, The Rational Bible, is an incredibly approachable and engaging text. It has been a joy to study his works and listen to his fire side chats.
I am a great listener and I practice George J. Thompson's Verbal Judo. I am able to engage with people I disagree with without being disagreeable. Engagement with the community is key to being a successful officeholder but you have to be an active listener and open yourself to other peoples perspective.
9/11. I was 10 years old. I still remember being in the classroom and one by one, students were picked up by their parents. It wasn't under I got in my moms car and heard the radio, that I knew what was going on. We drove tactical equipment to the port of Miami where the Sheriffs office stationed my dad. After that, we went to the grocery store which had many empty shelves. People were scare. We eventually made it home where I saw the first images on the TV. I will never forget that day or the evil that revealed itself.
My first job was being a lifeguard. I worked for the City of San Antonio for two summers and also did a special lifeguard assignment at Greene Family Camp for MDA camp.
Atlas Shrugged. I truly appreciate how Ayn Rand used fiction to illustrate a meaningful political philosophy. The message and character traits in this book parallel many timeless American virtues I believe in.
As a former Plano ISD School Board Trustee, I will be ready to govern on day one. Having previous government experience is key to minimizing the learning curve and getting to work for Plano citizens as quickly as possible. As a former Trustee, I have a record of being responsive, engaged, prepared, and transparent. I fought for parental rights and stood up for teachers. I have a record that I am proud to run on and the Plano community knows what to expect if I am elected.
Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee. I am waiting to hear back from a few others.
