Cody Weston is a judge on the Clackamas County Circuit Court in Oregon. The court has jurisdiction over Clackamas County and is located within the 5th Judicial District. He was appointed to the court on July 6, 2021, by Gov. Kate Brown (D) to replace Douglas Van Dyk.[1]
Biography
Education
Weston earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and a J.D. from the University of Oregon. [1]
Career
Weston first worked as a military lawyer, serving as a JAG prosecutor and then as a staff judge advocate, advising Marines on legal issues. Weston authored and co-authored a number of publications about military justice and other military legal issues. Prior to joining the bench, Weston worked at the law firm of Perkins Coie, where he focused primarily on commercial civil litigation.[1]
