I was born and raised in Oregon. After nine years at Starr Elementary and Fassett Jr. High, I went to St. Francis for high school. While I was there, I played in the band, sang in the choir, and spent too much time working on the spring musicals. After three years and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, I chose to come back to the area for law school at the University of Toledo, where I am pursuing a Juris Doctor and Master of Public Administration.

I’ve always held odd jobs while getting an education. I’ve played in high school pit orchestras all over the area, cleaned bathrooms, served hot dogs, bussed tables, fixed broken laptops, and sold suits to pay the bills. I know the unfortunate reality that too many of us face: working hard and barely getting by.

When I was at Ohio State, I worked in the State House and was appalled by the bills that got floated around, let alone those that were passed. I helped elect Democrats to Central Ohio seats because I know that our Republican-controlled state legislature is out of control. Today, I’m the Vice President of the Oregon Democratic Club and the Lucas County Young Democrats. Now that I’m back in Oregon, I’m compelled to run for office because I know the struggles that working people face, and I know that our government isn’t working for them.
  • Fixing Ohio's broken economy
  • Taking common sense back to Columbus
  • Making sure our tax dollars go to work for us
I am most interested in Ohio's economic and fiscal policy.
Two of my greatest government influences are Sherrod Brown and Marcy Kaptur because they are relentless in their fight for working people, no matter if that means going against the grain of what is popular among their party.
My first job was at the Oregon Recreation Department as a cashier in the concession stand. I worked in that role from 15-17, and then I became a concessions manager when I was 18. After a couple years off, I have returned to the Oregon Rec as a part-time facility supervisor.
The governor should have a working relationship with the Ohio General Assembly and its members to ensure that the policies needed in our state are pursued by the legislature.
Ohio's greatest challenges are going to be making sure that it can retain its brightest minds, fixing its income inequality, building an economy that works for everyone, and making sure that it can adapt to a changing climate.

It is on our government to design, implement, and execute strategies to fix the biggest problems of our day. I believe in Toledo. I believe in Ohio. I believe in the ability of our people to control the future of this State. Our leaders must act with care to ensure that the needs of their people are met, and I am driven to run for office because I know I’ll fight for what the people want.
Ohio should adopt a new constitutional amendment for its next redistricting process modeled after the independent commission that Michigan used for its 2021 reapportionment.
In most situations, making some kind of incremental change through compromise is more desirable than making no change at all. Obviously, there are certain rights which should never be compromised: the right to free speech, assembly, and so on, but compromise is something severely lacking today in our government, and that's making us all worse off.
