Colleen Fanning
Colleen Fanning (Republican Party) was a member of the Indianapolis City Council, representing District 2. Fanning assumed office in 2016. Fanning left office on January 1, 2020.
Fanning (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Indianapolis City Council to represent District 2. Fanning lost in the general election on November 5, 2019.
Biography
Fanning grew up outside of Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Zionsville Community High School. She received a bachelor's degree in linguistics and educational studies from Emory University. Her professional experience includes owning the Brick Street Inn in Zionsville, managing her late father's real estate portfolio in San Francisco and working as the marketing and communications director of AquaSpy, an agricultural technology company. She owns Grey Market Wine and Ike & Fritz Ventures, a marketing consulting firm.[1]

2015
The city of Indianapolis, Indiana, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A partisan primary election took place on May 5, 2015. The filing deadline for major party candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015. The filing deadline for independent or minor party candidates was July 15, 2015.[2] Twenty-five city council seats were up for election. Indianapolis's four at-large seats were not up for election, because those seats were scheduled to expire at the end of 2015.[3]
In the Republican primary election for District 2, Colleen Fanning was unopposed. In the Democratic primary, Kip Tew was also unopposed. Fanning defeated Tew and Sam Goldstein (Libertarian) in the general election. Incumbent Angela Mansfield (D) ran for election to the District 1 seat.[4]
