A College Place School District Bond Measure was on the April 17, 2012 ballot in the College Place school district area which is in Walla Walla County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 2,048 (60.99%)Approveda
  • NO 1,310 (39.01%)[1]

This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $38 million in order to help pay for a new elementary school facility, general improvement projects in the district as well as a new bus garage.[2]

The question on the ballot:

The Board of Directors of College Place School District No. 250 adopted Resolution No. 03-2011-2012, concerning a proposition to finance capital improvements to its education facilities. This proposition would authorize the District to construct a new PK-5 Davis Elementary School at the current campus; improve Meadow Brook Intermediate School and construct additions and improvements to John Sager Middle School to create a 6-12 grade campus; construct a bus garage; issue $38,525,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 20 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to pay such bonds, as provided in Resolution No. 03-2011-2012. Should this proposition be approved?[3]
