Born and raised in Denton County, Texas I am more than familiar with everyday life for 21st century North Texans. I grew up in a middle-class household with a mother who is now a retired elementary school counselor after working for Lewisville ISD for over 20 years and a father who is now a retired state trooper after serving Texas for 25 years. I have one sister who is now a police officer with the City of Mansfield after previously working for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.

I graduated from Marcus High School in 2018 and immediately attended Prairie View A&M to pursue studies in Finance and Economics. During my time there I began as an intern with the City of Prairie View and received many opportunities to interact with elected and appointed officials at both the local and state levels. This was useful to me as it allowed me to discover my true passion for public service and to gain meaningful first-hand experience in the business and financial operations of governmental agencies and how they could be used and directed to better serve the people of Texas. John Sharp, Chancellor of the Texas A&M University System always said - "Don't forget the customer. Don't forget the mission."

I am currently enrolled in a master's program at SMU Cox School of Business to gain a degree in business management. With this, I plan on using the analytical and managerial skills that I have to create and support good policy for all Texans.
  • The first thing I am offering is a youthful perspective. At 24 years of age, I bring a fresh and contemporary perspective to political issues. My approach to problem-solving is with new and creative solutions, challenging the status quo and bringing a forward-thinking approach to governance. This also includes being tech-savvy, which is an asset in the modern political landscape. Leveraging social media, online platforms, and technology tools will enhance communication with constituents and improve outreach efforts. Finally, as a young man, I offer a break from traditional politics, bringing authenticity and a commitment to transparency as well as more relatability to the everyday struggle of Denton County residents.
  • The second thing I want voters to understand is my commitment to collaborative leadership. As a collaborative leader, I can build bridges between different political factions and community groups. This will help create a more unified and cohesive community, fostering cooperation and understanding among our diverse population. I also plan on actively involving constituents in the decision-making process, with this I hope to create a sense of ownership and empowerment among the people of HD-57. By drawing on the strengths of diverse perspectives, we will be more adaptable and resilient in the face of challenges.
  • "Finally, let me emphasize that my strong roots in the community have given me a profound understanding of our local culture, history, and the unique challenges that we face. It is this understanding that fuels my passion to propose policies that will make a positive impact and bring about meaningful change. Join me in this journey to create a better future for our community."
There are 5 areas of policy that are of my main focus:

Education -
School funding and resources
Curriculum development and standards
Access to education and educational equity

Healthcare -
Healthcare access and affordability
Public health initiatives
Regulation of healthcare providers and facilities

Criminal Justice -
Law enforcement practices
Judicial system and sentencing
Prison and rehabilitation policies

Labor & Employment -
Employment regulations
Workers' rights and safety
Job training and workforce development

Technology & Innovation -
Internet and technology regulations
Research and development funding

Innovation and entrepreneurship support

There are many different qualities that an elected official must embody but a few include:

Financial Responsibility:
A commitment to responsible fiscal management, ensuring public funds are used efficiently and for the benefit of the community.

Humility:
Recognizing one's limitations, learning from mistakes, and being humble in the face of challenges contribute to effective and grounded leadership.

Political Courage:
The willingness to take principled stands on difficult issues, even if they are unpopular, demonstrates political courage and conviction.

Adaptability:
Elected officials should be flexible and open to adapting their positions and policies based on changing circumstances, new information, and evolving public sentiment.

Empathy:
Understanding and relating to the experiences, challenges, and aspirations of constituents demonstrates empathy and a genuine commitment to public service.

Accountability:
Taking responsibility for one's actions and decisions, and being transparent about decision-making processes, helps maintain accountability to the public.

Integrity:
Upholding high ethical standards and being honest in all dealings is crucial for building trust with constituents.

Leadership:

Strong leadership skills enable elected officials to inspire others, set a vision, and guide the community toward positive and constructive outcomes.
My beliefs the core responsibilities of this office are:

Legislative Decision-Making:
To participate in the legislative process by proposing, debating, and voting on bills that address issues affecting the state and its residents.

Constituent Services:
To provide assistance to constituents in navigating government services, addressing concerns, and accessing resources.

Budget Approval:
Participate in the state budgeting process, reviewing and approving the budget to allocate funds for various programs and services.

Emergency Response:
Respond to emergencies and disasters, working to secure resources and support for affected constituents.

Oversight of State Agencies:
Oversee and evaluate the performance of state agencies, ensuring accountability and efficiency in government operations.

Commitment to Ethical Conduct:
Adhere to high ethical standards, avoiding conflicts of interest and maintaining the public's trust.

Collaboration with Colleagues:
Work collaboratively with other state representatives, senators, and government officials to build coalitions and address issues that require collective efforts.

Policy Research:
Stay informed about current issues, research relevant policies, and consult with experts to make informed decisions on legislative matters.

Constituent Advocacy:

Advocate on behalf of individual constituents who may be facing challenges with government agencies, ensuring their concerns are addressed.
Many of these challenges are interconnected, and addressing them will require comprehensive and collaborative efforts from government, private sector entities, and communities across the state.

Energy Transition:
As the world transitions to cleaner energy sources, Texas, being a major player in the energy sector, faces the challenge of adapting to and leading in the shift toward renewable energy while managing the economic impact on traditional energy industries.

Infrastructure Development:
As the population continues to grow, Texas will need to invest in infrastructure development to address transportation needs, upgrade aging systems, and accommodate urbanization.

Economic Diversification:
Reducing dependence on traditional industries like oil and gas and diversifying the economy will be important for long-term stability and growth, especially given the volatility of energy markets.

Criminal Justice Reform:
Criminal justice reform, including addressing issues related to incarceration rates, police reform, and equitable access to justice, will likely be a focus area in the coming years.

Border Security and Immigration:
Managing border security and immigration issues will continue to be a complex challenge. Balancing security concerns with human rights considerations and addressing immigration policies will be a concern for the state.

Demographic Changes:
Texas is experiencing significant demographic shifts. Managing the challenges associated with population growth, diversity, and urbanization will require effective planning and policy responses.

Political Polarization:
Like many other places, Texas has experienced political polarization. Bridging political divides and fostering constructive dialogue will be important for effective governance.

Cybersecurity:

With increasing reliance on technology, securing critical infrastructure and systems from cyber threats will be a growing concern for the state.
