This measure was not put on an election ballot |
The Colorado Campaign Contributions Limit Repeal Amendment did not make the 2012 ballot in the state of Colorado as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have repealed language in the Colorado Constitution that limits campaign contributions from corporations and unions.[1]
The measure was part of Senate Concurrent Resolution 1, a piece of legislation that proposed three repeals of constitutional language that previously were struck down by legal rulings as unconstitutional.[2]
Path to the ballot
Two-thirds of each chamber of the Colorado General Assembly must vote affirmatively for a proposed amendment in order for it to go on the statewide ballot for potential voter ratification.
