Colorado adds new judgeship to Seventh District
May 25, 2011
Colorado: The Seventh Judicial District will get a new judgeship to help carry the caseload, effective July 1. It was approved by the Colorado State Senate in SB11-028 earlier this year. The district covers six counties: Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, Ouray and San Miguel.[1]
The Seventh Judicial District Nominating Commission will meet next week to interview nominees for the seat. In order to serve, one must be a resident of the district and be admitted to practice law for five years.[1]
