This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $4.33 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further year in order to continue to pay for general fund education maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]

| Shall a special tax levy of $483,895.00, an estimated $4.33 per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation, for collection in the year 2013, for the maintenance and operation of Colton Consolidated School District #306 be authorized and approved?[3] |
