This measure sought to increase the current property tax by a rate of $1.37 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to help pay for training and facility costs.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| Columbia County Fire District No. 1 Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 2011-02 which concerns a proposition to levy $150,000 in excess taxes. This proposition would levy excess tax, in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 of $37,500, approximately $1.37 per thousand assessed value, each year, on real estate and personal property located within said Fire District, for said Fire District’s firefighting training and garage facility.[3] |
